From the Open Mat live rounds open to everyone in and around the community, to the Seminar with Karen Darabedyan and Rick Marshall, the Grand Opening for 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in Redlands was exciting. Faces, familiar and foreign, dawned the mats. Jiu Jitsu practitioners and interested newcomers came from Hesperia, Banning, Beaumont, San Pedro, Burbank, Crestline, San Bernardino, Glendale, Riverside, Corona, Highland, Fontana, Rialto, and cities in between, to join forces and show support in Redlands.
The live DJ’ing from DJ Ickee of Ruknek Ent set the tone with Reggae and Dub music, on through to Hip Hop beats. Parents showed support by crowding around the mats and watching their young ones learn and spar with fellow grapplers.
In all, the event went great. Looking forward to similar events with the newfound family!!
